How to create a sale

Transaction Type    

1. Are you ready?
   
   In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create a new sale transaction.
   
   We are going to create a transaction using the following parameters:
   

   Type of transaction: Sale
   Holder Name: John Smith
   Amount: $5.00
   Payment source: Credit Card
   Payment method: MasterCard
   Card#: 5499740000000057
   Expiration date: 04/22
   CSC: 111
   
   Billing address:
   300 5th Ave
   New York, NY 10001
   
2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password.
   
   Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
   
3. You can create new transactions using Transaction form, which is available at the following places:
   
   

   • Perspective => Console => Transactions
   • Perspective => Management => Merchant Perspective => Processing => Transactions
   • Perspective => Administration => Monitoring Perspective => Transactions

   
   You can choose any place you like.
   
4. Select appropriate Merchant or Merchant Account in the top left section of the screen.
   
5. Click   Transactionsbutton in the top section of the screen.
   
   Note: On Merchant pespective, Transactions section can be found under Processing button, on Monitoring perspective - under Transactions button.
   
6. Choose   List  menu item  from the list.
   
7. Locate   Transaction List  groupbox
8. Click   Salebutton

9. Choose   Card  menu item  from the list.
   
10. Enter John Smith into the Holder Nametextbox
11. Enter 5499740000000057 into the Payment Card #/Track Data...radio button
12. Select 04/22 in Exp Datedropdown
13. Enter 111 into the CSCtextbox
14. Enter 5 into the Amounttextbox
15. Locate   Billing Address  groupbox
16. Enter 300 5th Ave into the Streettextbox
17. Enter New York into the Citytextbox
18. Select New York in Statedropdown
19. Enter 10001 into the ZIP Codetextbox
20. Click   Savebutton
21. If you have done all steps correctly, the confirmation that your transaction is approved should now be visible on the screen.

22. Congratulations, you are done!
    
    You have learned how to create a transaction using a payment card. Now you can create a transaction by yourself using any type of payment - payment card or direct debit.
