How to check the match between Job queues configurations

  1. Are you ready?

In this tutorial we will learn how to check whether active and default Job queues configurations match. It is needed for cases when the tasks that are required to be activated do not work properly. In this case a system administrator is notified that there are pending job queues via a Pingdom page or system notifications. If there is a mismatch between these configurations, there can be issues with system tasks performance, which can result in a task being stuck.

We will use the following parameters:
    Messages: pending
    Partial name: unicharge, system

  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the System Perspective.

Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Click   Jobsbutton in the top right section of the screen.
  4. Choose   Job Object  menu item  from the list.
  5. Locate   Job Object Search  groupbox
  6. Locate   Queues  groupbox
  7. Click Partial Nameradio button and enter unicharge and system in the corresponding textboxes.
  8. Locate   Messages  dropdown and select Pending menu item from the list.
  9. Click   Findbutton
  10. Locate   Queues  groupbox
  11. Locate   Active  column
  12. Verify whether there is the match between Current state and Default state checkboxes.
  13. Congratulations, you are done!

You have learned how to check the match between active and default Job queues configurations. Now you can do this yourself
